Sweatshops

Definitions: Sweatshops are factories or workplaces that are breaking labor laws, meaning that workers may be paid unfair wages, have no benefits, asked to work overtime with little to no compensation, and a generally working in unacceptable conditions. Even though the US has labor laws in place to prevent this, sweatshops still exist. Corporations also create or import from sweatshops abroad, where labor laws are lax.
