Genetically Modified

Organisms(GMOs)

 

Definition: These are defined as organisms whose genetic material has been modified for resistance to herbicides or viruses, or modified for the inclusion of a protein that kills insects. The issues surrounding GMOs include creating more resilient insects, strict rules regarding seed collection (See: Monsanto) and legality, contamination of regular crops, reduction in biodiversity, and water pollution.
