Drones
Definition: Also known as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, drones are considered an aircraft not piloted by someone not in the vehicle. While drones offer many benefits, such as search and rescue, scientific research, crop spraying, and reconnaissance, safety issues still persist. Drones have injured nearby pedestrians, caused issues of privacy, hacking, and surveillance, and are still unregulated in some sectors. There is also the debate over the possible benefits of lethal autonomous robots (LARs), allowing drones to target and kill on their own.
