Ageism
Definition: Coined by Robert Neil Butler, a gerontologist, to define a pattern of stereotyping and discrimination similar to sexism and racism, but towards seniors. It has also been used to reference discrimination against adolescents (ex. young kids perform crimes). Both types of discriminator limit people’s employment opportunities based largely on age.
