Defintion: A major overhaul of the US healthcare system, aiming lower the uninsured rate and to reduce individual and government spending by introducing affordable, quality health insurance to Americans. The ACA requires that all insurance companies cover applicants under new minimum requirements and regardless of sex or pre-existing conditions.
